Remember last time I said we were sponsoring cats now? Well we have our second one after Arin was successfully adopted. Our new kitten came straight from the streets, where he had been taken in by some office staff, and then brought directly to us. He has been quite hard working getting him comfortable with us but the efforts are showing their rewards now as he is turning into an amusing little fella. So with his street history and this in mind we have named him Banksy and he has inspired this weeks 'link of the week'....

The link of the week this time is the site of UK graffiti artist 'Banksy'. His artworks are often-satirical pieces of art on topics such as politics, culture, and ethics. His street art, which combines graffiti writing with a distinctive stenciling technique, is similar to Blek le Rat, who began to work with stencils in 1981 in Paris.

Banksy has become renowned for covertly installing his art into famous art galleries and museums including New York’s major art museums: The Brooklyn Museum, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Museum of Modern Art, and the Museum of Natural History. Also in the UK the Tate Modern has been the butt of several Banksy pranks and the British Museum still has his work up to this day!

I have been meaning to post up these pics for a while. I heard of this guy Willard Wigan through a video someone sent me and I was amazed. He is a micro sculptor and carves grains of sand and dislplays them on needles. I don't know whether his talent is due to him being a 'functioning autistic' but can't imagine anyone else doing this:

Dressage
Elephant
Henry-VIII
Statue of Liberty
Titanic on needle point

Visit his site here: http://www.willard-wigan.com/

Also worth a watch is this video message. Watch it all the way it has some very clever copy writing:

The novelty of winter weather over here hasn't worn off yet. We had an ice column form off the back of our porch roof. I took some pics of it and compared them to ones from the autumn when I arrived:

We have started fostering cats for a while too, we got our first one a couple of weeks ago, she is pretty cute:

Hello and welcome once again to another site re-design, I know, I just can't help it! I'm intending this one to stay though and will be building it up over time to be a more professional site with a lot more content than before. All the pages have had a re-design, although I'm still in the process of finishing the photo gallery. OK take a peek and let me know what you all think via the new contact form.

Thanks for looking. Kris
